Just Be Yourself

Reading time: 20 seconds

As I watched this bee flit around from flower to flower yesterday, I wondered…

Is this bee doing the work she does to be more badass than other bees? Is she doing it to get approval, love, and a sense of belonging? Does she go home after a long day of pollinating—literally sustaining the cycle of life—and say: if only I could pollinate more, do more, be more? If only I could pollinate ALL the flowers, then, finally, I’ll be the bee I always wanted to be. A success, somebody, happy.

No, the bee simply flows. It’s not lost in a story about trying to be a somebody or do its way into more, more, more. It's simply itself, herenow, and nothing else.
