The “eye” motif in my headers arrived on its own one day when I was playing around with photos from a recent trip to Medellin, Colombia. As I SEE it: there is more to us than meets the eye. More than color, race, belief, gender. More than any story our minds will try (and fail) to tell about what we are. When we LOOK—truly look—without using the mind as a filter, we see. Then, we know.
This gorgeous, alive street art is thanks to the talented graffiti artists of Comuna13 in Medellin, Colombia. I was so moved by the neighborhood’s story of renacer, rebirth, and the beauty that resulted, it became the inspiration for this website.

Other Photos
I try to use my own photos when I can on this site. Some of the nature shots (especially any with hiking boots) are from a recent trip to South America, Chile/Patagonia. What epic beauty there! Stay tuned for more pics from our travels…some day, when we are allowed to leave the living room again. 😂
